Process of making My Cover

This was my first attempt at making my first cover, I wasn't very happy with it because it came out really dark and my model looked really old and didn't fit with my target market. Therefore, I decided to attempt making the front cover again and focus more on my editing skills and try to make my model look younger.

I started off with my original photograph.

Then I used curves adjustments to adjust the colour tone of the image.

The result of the adjustments.

I then used the selection tool and went around the lips of my model to make adjustments to the colour of my models lips. I did this because I specifically in my plan said that for my cover photo my model should have red lips.

I then added the title and used the rubber tool to take away bits of the title to make it seem as if my model is in front of it to make it seem more professional.

I then added some of the stories in the magazine on the front cover. I adjusted their text colour to make them stand out more on the page.

Then I added the name of the artist "Iris Zenenberg"
Then I added the main story onto the page and I was complete. However, I wasn't completely happy with the colouring of my model as due to editing my model looked yellow and that in my opinion ruined the front of my magazine.
