Mock Up of Cover Page

These are some of the ideas I had and made mock-ups of some of them.

This was my first attempt at making my front cover for my magazine.
I played around with the different effects in Photoshop and this was my end product.
What I liked about this cover was that I had used my chosen font for my masthead and decided on
the colours I am going to use for my front cover. I liked the "20" as it stands out onto the page
however, the writing underneath it isn't very clear. I also think that the image I used as a cover image wasn't very good as it was a bit over exposed.  

In this mock-up, I tried to follow my flat plan very  closely to see whether my design would work or not.
In some ways I thought that this mock-up works because it uses the conventions of a front cover
and when all put together it looks good and creates the desired effect. However, I don't think that as a whole,it looks that professional. The editing around the cover image isn't as good as it could have been and I believe that it
slightly ruins the whole front cover.



This was one of my final ideas which I decided to explore further and use as a base for my actual front cover. I was pleased with the image however, when starting on my final cover I would need to do a lot of editing of my artist in order to make them look much younger and more pleasing.
